Steadman Global Senior Consultant – Development Consulting Technical Supervisor

The Position

Steadman Global seeks to hire the services of a well-qualified and experienced Senior Associate Consultant (Management and Development), responsible for the technical oversight, management, and successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors

Your key responsibilities are:

• Lead the preparation and execution of Business development opportunities for the development team.
• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of technical assistance and advisory projects across various development sectors (e.g., education, health, energy, agriculture, governance, creative economy, digital innovation).
• Supervise feasibility studies, baseline assessments, sector diagnostics, and institutional analyses to inform project design and decision-making.
• Conduct and oversee economic and financial analyses, cost-benefit studies, value chain assessments, and investment cases.
• Design and manage monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks and results-based management (RBM) systems to track project performance and impact.
• Provide high-quality technical leadership and direction on multi-sectoral assignments, ensuring methodological rigor and context relevance.
• Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary teams, manage project timelines and deliverables, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Lead stakeholder engagement processes, including consultations, validation workshops, technical working groups, and donor briefings.
• Prepare and review technical reports, concept papers, proposals, and strategic documents for clients and partners.
• Drive cross-sectoral knowledge integration and adaptive learning within and across projects.
• Contribute to pipeline development through technical scoping, proposal writing, and strategic positioning.
• Mentor and support junior consultants and associates in technical delivery, analytical writing, and professional growth.
• Build strong relationships with clients, government agencies, development partners, and sector experts.
• Ensure effective coordination with internal units and external collaborators for seamless project execution.

Job Requirements

• A master’s in  Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Agriculture, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of technical consulting experience in international development, with demonstrated ability to work across multiple sectors.
• Experience undertaking strategic assessment, business and development planning, feasibility assessments, project design, M&E, and economic or policy analysis.
• Familiarity with donor-funded programs (e.g., World Bank, AfDB, EU, UNDP, GIZ, USAID) and government-led initiatives.
• Strong writing, facilitation, and project management skills with an ability to lead high-stakes assignments under tight deadlines.
