Associate Consultant (Management and Development)

The Position

Steadman Global seeks to hire the services of a well-qualified and experienced Associate Consultant (Management and Development) to support the successful design, delivery, and management of consulting assignments across multiple sectors

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Support in developing winning prequalification’s, expressions of interest, and project proposals within your relevant team.
  • Support project design, planning, implementation, and reporting activities under the guidance of the Lead Consultant or Engagement Manager.
  • Draft high-quality reports, concept notes, proposals, and presentations tailored to client needs and aligned with Steadman’s quality standards.
    • Under a project manager’s guidance, participate in project-related Research, Analysis and Reporting, perform qualitative and quantitative analytics—disaggregating the central question and building an approach, gathering data (through desk research, surveys, interviews, etc.), and aggregating and synthesizing it into recommendations for our clients based on Steadman’s approved Methodology and approaches.
    • Perform quantitative analytics in Excel, Stata, SPSS or other standard tools (knowledge of different statistical software, such as R, is a strong plus) and draw conclusions and recommendations from the results, presenting arguments and evidence clearly and appealingly.
  • Provide administrative and logistical Support by coordinating project logistics, timelines, and deliverables; ensure compliance with internal and client-facing processes.
  • Support client meetings and workshops by preparing relevant content sections, presenting selected content, and helping with logistics. Assist in organizing and participating in client meetings, stakeholder workshops, and field missions; document outcomes and follow-ups.
  • Demonstrate ownership in your work, including attention to detail, the quality of the deliverable, and its contribution to the larger project.
  • Contribute to growing Steadman’s knowledge and expertise by staying current on global development trends, especially project work topics.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Economics or Finance, Development Studies (Agriculture, Energy), Engineering, Business, Social Sciences, ICT and Computing, or related field; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in consulting, development, research, or project management.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, Stata, Power BI) are a plus.
